Statement regarding recent media report

Monday evening, a media report was published indicating a positive case of COVID-19 at the New Lebanon CSD. This was reported incorrectly – there are currently zero positive cases in the New Lebanon Central School District.

In the event of a positive case within the district, we will share that information with the community via the district website, www.newlebanoncsd.org. Any positive cases will also be reported on the New York state COVID-19 Report Card available here https://schoolcovidreportcard.health.ny.gov/#/home.

As a reminder, If the following new or worsening symptoms develop, individuals should contact their health care provider or local health department to be assessed.  

  • a temperature greater or equal to 100.0° F 
  • feel feverish or have chills 
  • cough 
  • loss of taste or smell 
  • fatigue 
  • sore throat 
  • shortness of breath 
  • nausea, vomiting, diarrhea 
  • muscle pain or body aches 
  • headaches or nasal congestion/running nose 

We will continue to utilize our protocols, including the wearing of masks, social distancing, cleaning and disinfection, and taking student temperatures before entering the building. Please continue to monitor your child, and do not send them to school if they show any of the symptoms listed above.
