New Lebanon Town Community Center and Free Store

Community Center opening in New Lebanon this Thursday 12/21 and the free store moving from Town Hall to the new community center with new hours starting this Wednesday 12/20

The Town of New Lebanon is opening a community center at 523 US Route 20, New Lebanon, NY this Thursday, December 21st!  Featuring a game room with foosball, ping pong, or hockey and pool, a video game area and a cozy corner for watching DVDs and TV and reading and hanging with friends.

There will be special holiday hours from now through January 3rd as follows:

Thursday 12/21 – 6pm to 8pm – Cookies and hot chocolate with Santa and a special showing of Polar Express Playing on TV!

Saturday 12/23 – 9am – 11am – Pancake breakfast with Santa

Saturday 12/30 – 11am – 3pm – Arts and crafts, games and fun

Tuesday 1/2 – 9am – Noon – Bingo day with snacks and prizes

Starting January 4th we will have regular community center hours every week as follows:

Tuesdays 6pm – 8pm
Thursdays 5pm – 8pm
Saturdays 11am – 3pm

The free store has moved from the town hall to the community center and will be open all hours that the community center is open and, in addition to those hours, the free store will be open on Wednesdays from Noon – 5pm and Sundays from 11am – 2pm.  Come check out all of the free clothing, footwear, children’s items and more! The free store is not just for families in need, but for everyone. It is a green initiative to keep things out of the landfill. Reduce, reuse, recycle!  Come check it out and get amazing things that are new to you completely free.

You can drop off donations for the free store during any of the open hours or at the New Lebanon Town Hall Monday through Friday 9:00 to 5:00.  There are not very many rules, but the most important is that you are not allowed to sell any of the items that you get from the free store. We don’t accept books except for children’s books. And we don’t have space for larger furniture and household items.

A huge thank you to the LVPA for letting us use their building rent free to run the community center and to all of the volunteers, especially Alissa Ross, our fearless free store coordinator, dedicating so much of their time to bring this amazing asset to our community!!
