On Friday, May 8, members of the New Lebanon Senior Citizens Center joined the senior choir at the Jr/Sr High School for a private concert and brunch. Guests enjoyed the food prepared by the Appetites Anonymous Club, while listening to the choir perform “Danny Boy,” “Wayfaring Stranger,” “Amazing Grace,” and “Rocking Road to Dublin.”
They were good,” said Art Rodda, a guest at the event. “Such nice melody.”
“The brunch gets everyone talking and the kids get to spend some time with the seniors, so it’s not just business,” said Choir Director Valene Synakowski.
Members of the senior center will perform with the choir at the Spring Concert on Wednesday, May 20. The concert begins at 7 p.m. at the Jr/Sr High School Gymnasium.
