Where are you from?
I graduated from Berlin in 1998. I lived there on and off for years after graduating, but for the last 7-8 years, I have lived here in New Lebanon.
What is your background like – previous jobs?
I used to work for Bank of America in Berlin but they closed that branch, and I was offered the position in New Lebanon before it was bought by Berkshire Bank. I worked there for 6 years, then I worked a few seasons at the Abode of the Message before accepting the school secretary position for an elementary school in Pittsfield. When the secretary position here at NLHS became available, my family encouraged me to apply so here I am!
What are your interests outside of school?
I have a lot of interests outside of school such as gardening, fishing, hunting, roller skating, and reading. I like to play pool and sing as well. My favorite pastime is hanging out with my family though, I have 3 daughters and a bonus daughter. Two of them attend school here in New Lebanon and the older ones are working on their college education.
Why are you excited to be a part of the New Lebanon Central School District?
I am super excited to be a part of the New Lebanon CSD team specifically because this is my home. I have a daughter finishing her last year at WBH and a daughter in 10th grade at the high school. Next year they will both be here and we can all ride together. I am also happy to be able to work in the same community that I got to know from my time working at the bank. It has been great to see familiar faces and to get to know new people in the community!
