Board Adopts 2014-15 Budget; Public Budget Hearing May 7

The New Lebanon Board of Education adopted the proposed 2014-15 budget at its meeting on April 8. The $12,765,996 plan increases spending by only 2.61 percent, or $325,206 over the current year, and carries a tax levy increase of 0 percent. The spending plan retains all staff and current programming and opportunities for students.

A public hearing about the budget will be held on Wednesday, May 7 at 7 p.m. at Walter B. Howard Elementary School. District residents will vote on the plan on Tuesday, May 20.
