BNL Cross Country Hosts Meet and Celebrates its Seniors 10/5

The Berlin Middle-High School hosted the BNL XC team’s senior night this past Tuesday 10/5. After help from many hands this summer, the team ran on a beautiful new course. It was challenging from the eyes of our opponents, but it was a fun and adventurous experience for all. Family, friends, students and school staff gathered for our Senior night to congratulate our seniors Carl Truax (NL), Brady Hills (B), and Matthew Kluck (B) on their many years of dedication and their outstanding achievements.

The boys and girls varsity teams ran the course at the same time against Hoosic Valley and Tamarac-Hoosick Falls. We saw amazing effort from everyone! The BNL girls put up a great fight against Hoosic Valley, and only lost by one point overall! The score was 27-28. Although, they did beat Tamarac-Hoosick Falls with a 17-38. Great job girls!

The boys team also put up a great fight against Hoosic Valley. Unfortunately, the boys lost 33-22 but they gave it their all despite injuries, rain, and a tough course. We are so proud of you all! We are very excited to announce that Gabe Kalisz placed 1st overall in the race with a 19:24. He set the record for our home course!
