BNL Varsity Girls Basketball vs Salem Coach Recap 1/3
The BNL Varsity Girls Basketball team was unable to come out on top against Salem. The Mountain Lions missed shots and turnovers were high last night while the intensity was low. Despite having no bench due to illness and injury we had a few who fought to the end. Nikki Minkler had 10pts, 8 rebounds while Lillian Gardell had 12 points and 15 rebounds. We are keeping our heads high while we continue to practice our teamwork. -Coach Zinna & Coach Harris

BNL Varsity Swim vs Mt. Anthony Coach Recap 1/5
The BNL Varsity Swim Team lost to a very tough Mt. Anthony team on Friday 1/5/24 but still had some great performances. Lance Schroder placed first in the 50 and 100 Freestyle, hitting a season best time in the 50 Free. Eben Donahue placed first and hit a personal best time in the 100 Backstroke while Allison Slater placed second in the 200 Free and the 100 Breaststroke.
Great job to Lizzy Hunt who placed 3rd in her first ever 200 IM. Personal best swims by Vincenza Deschamps in the 100 Breaststroke and the 50 Free, Grace Kalisz in the 100 Free and 100 Butterfly, Alan Zuke in the 100 Free.
Allison Slater has hit a sectional time in the 100 Back, 100 Breaststroke, 100 Butterfly, 200 Free and the 200 IM while Lance Schroder has qualified for the 200 Free, 100 Free & the 50 Free. Keep up the great work! – Coach Christiansen

Congratulations to Tallulah Powers who is the two time Kristie Stenglein-Davis Girls Tournament Champion at 165 lbs. BNL’s Vivienne Powers took 4th place at 126 lbs.

BNL Boys Modified Basketball Recaps 1/4, 1/6, & 1/8
The BNL Modified Boys Basketball team has been working to improve each game and continues to gel as a team. Last Thursday 1/4 they took to the court against KIPP Tech, though they didn’t come up with the win they played hard. Braydin Yerdon had the most baskets with 19 points followed by Roddy Gardell’s 8 points.

On Saturday 1/6 the BNL boys modified squad showed up with great teamwork against Glens Falls, banking their first win of the season. Will Synder was the top scorer of the game with 18 points and Braydin Yerdon played a strong defensive and offensive game with 8 points. The whole team showed good ball movement and effort on the court.

On Monday night 1/8 the BNL Modified Boys took on Hawthorne Valley in Hudson and brought home the win 34-28.
