BNL Varsity Girls Wrestling Coach Recap 12/28
The BNL Girls Wrestling team competed at the Coxsackie Wrestling Tournament on 12/28. The highlight of the day was first year wrestler, Vivienne Powers, who took 5th in an 18 girl bracket at 126. Vivienne performed well even against the girls she lost to. Vivienne’s sister Tallulah took 4th in a very tough bracket with state and nationally ranked girls traveling in from both near NYC and the southern tier. Also winning two matches on the day was Julia Stickles at 132. Julia and Vivienne had both dropped down a weight class this week, with all wrestlers receiving the ‘gift’ of an extra 2 pound allowance after Christmas. -Coach Prather
