Girls Modified Basketball welcomed Waterford Half-moon at home last night. We started strong with a 6-2 lead in the first quarter. We struggled to find our rhythm though and the gap narrowed to only a 2 point lead at the half. We came back out in the 3rd and played stronger defense, but still had difficulty rebounding and landing shots. Waterford got a bucket in the 4th that tied it up at the end of regulation time. Waterford was able to sink a rebound and grab the “and 1” to defeat us by 3 in overtime. Scorers were Allie Manchester, Lilly Meyers, Grace Pelletier, Amaya Brown and Emma Shorter. Player of the game was Anna Ward. We face Cambridge this Saturday at their house.
