New Lebanon Students Spread Holiday Cheer to Troops Overseas

NL Junior-Senior HS students with cards made

In an effort to spread some holiday cheer and show its support for our troops, New Lebanon Jr/Sr High School participated in the “Holiday Mail for Heroes” program that is being sponsored by the American Red Cross.

The school’s involvement in this initiative was led by Mr. Christiansen and his health students. The students designed cards and voted on the top three designs. The students whose designs were chosen are pictured above. The cards were then printed and the entire school was invited to write messages and sign them during lunch periods.

Through their efforts, more than 150 handmade cards will be sent to US soldiers serving overseas through the program. Mr. Christiansen delivered the cards to

local radio personality Melody Burns of TALK 1300, who is heavily involved in the program.
