The New Lebanon Jr/Sr High School library in conjunction with the New Lebanon Library will be promoting reading this summer through The Amazing Race: Summer Reading Edition. Students are invited to “visit the world” through completing summer reading challenges.
Students interested in participating should visit the library to pick up their Amazing Race itinerary, in which they will be given seven challenge cards corresponding to the seven continents. The challenges encourage students to read, explore their world, be creative, and communicate their thoughts.
Students are responsible for sharing evidence (pictures, reviews, etc.) of the completion of each challenge by emailing bbuckenroth@newlebanoncsd.org, or by using the hashtag #nlreads on Twitter or Instagram.
Students who complete five of the seven challenges will be entered into our grand prize raffle for a $50 Amazon gift card. All participants will be invited to a pizza party at the high school in September. We look forward to a summer of great reading and creativity!
