As we approach the holidays, we anticipate school cancellations due to inclement weather during the winter months.
Since 2020, New York State has offered a snow day flexibility program, which allows districts to go remote in response to inclement weather/closings. Districts have the option to implement remote learning on days that would otherwise be considered a snow day.
The New Lebanon CSD has five embedded snow days in our district calendar. The district will only utilize the virtual option if our five inclement weather days are already used. When an inclement weather day is needed the district plans to use our snow days.
School closures and two-hour delays will be communicated via phone message, email, the New Lebanon CSD website, our Facebook page and local news stations. Please make sure that your child school office has your updated contact information.
