WBH Students Participate in a Toolbox Kit Building Activity

On Wednesday, volunteers from the Northeast Construction Trades Workforce Coalition, Mrs. Brooke Dickson, and Mr. Glenn Giumarra worked with students in grades 4, 5, and 6 to build toolboxes! Mike, Nick, and Olivia talked to students about the various career opportunities that are available in the trades and provided students with an introduction to building and creativity with their Toolbox Kit activity.
Students hammered, screwed, and measured to assemble a toolbox that they were able to fill with their own fastener belt, tape measurer, water bottles, and stickers, compliments of businesses in the Capital Region construction world.
A huge thank you to Brooke Dickson for bringing in this opportunity, as well as the generous volunteers through the NCTWC. Opportunities like this are what build aspirations, confidence, and community.
