New Lebanon Welcomes New Staff

We are pleased to welcome several new faculty and staff to New Lebanon this year!

At WBH, Emily Meister joins us as a Special Education/RTI teacher, Brittany McKeown is filling Mrs. Jubie’s maternity leave in Third Grade, and Brianna Shuhart is our new part time aide. Tasha Thompson Hauser is also new this year as a building sub – ready to step into any classroom as needed throughout the year.

At the Jr/Sr High School, Emily Reardon joins us as a .5 RTI teacher.

Each of these positions were made available due to the COVID relief funds from the American Rescue Plan (ARP) and Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations (CRRSA). For more information on how the district is allocating these funds, please review this chart on our website, and this letter from Superintendent Andrew Kourt. It is important to note that this funding was subject to restrictions on the areas in which it could be spent.

We’re also excited to welcome new staff in our transportation department this year. Tammy Groat and Kirk Dobert joined our team as bus drivers, and Martin Gibbons will help keep our bus fleet up and running as a mechanic.

We will introduce you to some of our new staff over the next few weeks, so stay tuned!
