New Lebanon CSD to Retain SRD Position for 2021-22 School Year

Superintendent Andrew Kourt with Columbia County Sheriff David P. Bartlett; the New Lebanon CSD will maintain an SRD for the 2021-22 school year.

The budget process was a challenging one this year, and the New Lebanon CSD was forced to make the difficult decision of eliminating the School Resource Deputy (SRD) position for the 2021-22 school year. Superintendent Andrew Kourt reached out to Columbia County Sheriff David P. Bartlett regarding the matter, and Sheriff Bartlett has committed to ensuring that an SRD would remain in place at the New Lebanon CSD. The District and the Sheriff’s Office are committed to ensuring the safety of our students, and the District is pleased to announce that through this partnership, an SRD will continue to work in our schools five days a week throughout the 2021-2022 school year.
