This morning the New Lebanon Jr./Sr. High School held its annual Memorial Day Assembly to honor and pay tribute to veterans and service members. The assembly included a musical performance by the choir and band and a speech from guest speaker Thom Rigg. Rigg is a former New Lebanon student and is currently a member of the NLCSD Board of Education. He served in the Army where he was an airborne infantryman, and received a Bronze Star Valor and combat infantryman badge.
Afterwards, members of the community were invited to a brunch made by the Just Food Club in the library where students and staff helped prepare and serve the food.
Thank you to everyone who came and helped put this special event together.
