Dear New Lebanon CSD Community,
After a wonderful 12 years serving the New Lebanon Central School District as Principal of both the Junior/Senior High School and Walter B. Howard Elementary School, and the last five as Superintendent of Schools, I have made the difficult decision to retire from public education effective at the end of September 2020.
To ensure a seamless transition, the Board of Education has approved a succession plan that will see WBH Principal Mr. Andrew Kourt become Superintendent of Schools on October 1, 2020. I congratulate him and I thank the Board for their efforts to make sure that this wonderful school district will have the leadership necessary to continue on its trajectory of success and responsible stewardship of this community’s most valuable resource, its children.
