On Friday, May 2, students in the Outspoken! group participated in the Student Summit for Questar’s Improving Schools through Student Empowerment Seminar. This has been an ongoing program held throughout the school year where students and adults can collaborate with other districts in Rensselaer and Columbia County on the positive steps they are taking to create inclusive and accepting communities within their schools. During the Student Summit, each district highlighted specific steps to enhance their school climate. This year, student participants included Landon Chuck (9th), Sukhleen Kaur (10th), and Kawpan Swenson (12th). Great job, everyone!
