Residents Approve Budget & Propositions

New Lebanon Central School District residents approved a $12,765,996 budget for the 2014-15 school year by a vote of 183 (yes) to 44 (no). The plan increases spending by only 2.61 percent, or $325,206 over the current year, and carries a tax levy increase of 0 percent. Voters also approved:

  • Proposition 2 – use of capital reserve – by a vote of 163 (yes) to 52 (no)
  • Proposition 3 – establishing a capital reserve- by a vote of 162 (yes) to 49 (no)
  • Board of education seats: Christine Sotek – 170 votes; Michael Bienes – 167 votes; Write Ins: Scott Putnam: 2 votes
