Outspoken Students Attend STOP Conference at Siena College

Students in the Jr./Sr. High School group, Outspoken, participated in the Students Together Opposing Prejudice (STOP) Conference, sponsored by Educate to Empower. The STOP Conference, held at Siena College, provides a platform for middle and high school students, as well as educators, to come together in celebration of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. As a premier event for grades 6-12 in Upstate NY, attendees participate in anti-bias workshops and engage in discussions on both historical and modern-day activism. This year, the conference theme focused on exploring the impact of the Civil Rights Movement on the Disability Rights Movement.
