Please read the letter below from the New Lebanon School Psychologists Ms. Gebbie, Ms. Cupp and Ms. White:
We hope this letter finds your family both happy and healthy. What a whirlwind these past few days have been. The rapidly changing COVID-19 situation may be leaving you and your family feeling both stressed and anxious. It is important that we take time to reflect on our feelings as adults, talk with our children about their feelings, and practice self-care.
Our School Psychologists will be available by email and telephone voicemail while school is not in session:
Tylea Gebbie, WBH School Psychologist – firstname.lastname@example.org, 518-794-8854, option 1, option 5
Patricia White, JSHS School Psychologist – email@example.com;
518-794-7600, option 2, option 6
Jenna Cupp, School Psychologist Intern – firstname.lastname@example.org
In addition to returning parent and student voicemail messages, if your child receives counseling services per their IEP or 504 Plan we will reach out to you on your child’s regularly scheduled counseling day to check-in and provide support and/or resources. Because all calls will be coming from our personal phones, it will likely appear as “Private or “Anonymous.”
We encourage you to regularly check our district websites for additional resources that we will be updating during this extended closure: WBH – (https://sites.google.com/newlebanoncsd.org/wbh-school-psychologist/home) JSHS – https://sites.google.com/newlebanoncsd.org/jshs-school-psychologist/home
In times like these, it takes a village. This caring and supportive school community will get through this together.
Your New Lebanon School Psychologists
Tylea, Tricia, and Jenna
