COVID Update for Families Returning from Break

COVID Update After Break

Dear Families,

The New Lebanon Central School District is set to open for in person learning tomorrow,
January 3, 2022. To keep our buildings open for learning we will need our entire community’s
support. We ask that you do not send your child to school if:

– your child is positive with COVID-19
– your child is quarantined due to a close contact COVID exposure
– your child has one or more symptoms of COVID, and/or is awaiting COVID testing
results

If you have questions about quarantines we ask that you contact either the Columbia County or
Rensselaer County departments of health. Please contact your child’s school office tomorrow to
report any absence.

On Tuesday from 3:45 – 5:45pm at the Jr/Sr. High School Main Entrance, the district will be
distributing free COVID-19 testing kits to families of New Lebanon students. These tests have
been given to school districts by the state of New York to distribute to families with the goal of keeping
our schools open for in person learning.

Thank you for your support and I look forward to our continued work together.

Fondly,
Andrew Kourt
