Please regard this correspondence as an UPDATE to the scheduled pre-season meeting for fall athletes and their families.
There will be a meeting on August 23 at 6 pm in the Berlin MSHS Auditorium for Junior Varsity and Varsity athletic programs. Due to scheduling conflicts, The parent/guardian meeting for Modified levels (grades 7 and 8) will now be on Sept 7 at 5:30 pm in the Berlin MSHS Auditorium.
In these pre-season meetings, Athletic Directors from both schools will review some basic information and expectations for the upcoming season. Additionally, the Booster Club will discuss how you can be involved in assisting our sports programs. We hope to review several aspects of the code of conduct for Athletes and overall expectations for families. A parent or guardian will need to sign off that they were in attendance at this event for their child to be eligible. One family member is sufficient per athlete.
There will be “Meet the Coaches” dialogues with each team immediately following the larger meeting. There, each coach will go over his/her expectations and plan for the season.
If you are not able to attend this evening, please contact your school’s AD to make other arrangements.
Tryouts for Fall Sports will take place on the following dates/times/locations:
Boys JV/V Soccer- Aug 22,23,24 from 8:00am-10:30 at Berlin Elementary School
Girls JV/V Soccer- Aug 22,23,24 from 8:00am-11:00 at Berlin MSHS
Girls JV/V Volleyball- Aug 22,23,24 from 3:00pm-5:00pm at Berlin MSHS
Boys and Girls HS Cross Country- Aug 22,24,25,26 from 6:00pm-7:30pm. Aug 23 will have practice at 4:00pm, all at Berlin MSHS.
