Dear WBH Families,
We have scheduled this year’s Open House for Tuesday, October 13th. We have made some changes to the format in an effort to make the night much more informational for parents and guardians. Keeping this in mind students will not be invited to the classroom during the Open House event, but the PTA will be hosting a movie night in support of families.
The format will include a 15-20 minute presentation by the teachers and a 10-15 minute opportunity for Q & A, so that each session runs approximately 30 minutes. This is not a time to ask specific questions about your child. Those questions should be reserved for Parent Teacher Conferences, which will be held on October 23rd and 27th.
The Open House schedule is as follows:
- PK and K will not have an official Open House as information was provided at PK and K Orientation, but work will be displayed from 6:00 to 7:00
- 1st grade, 2nd grade, Mrs. Griffith and Mr. Albrecht’s classrooms will have Open House from 6:00 to 6:30
- 3rd and 4th grade classrooms will have Open House from 6:15 – 6:45
- 5th and 6th grade classrooms will have Open House form 6:30 – 7:00
- Special Area teachers will be available in the Library or their classrooms from 6:00 – 7:00
Information for the movie night will be forthcoming from the PTA, but the movie will be taking place during the Open House. Although not having students at Open House is a big change we hope that you find the night to be more informative and focused on how we can work together to support our students.
