Students discover music through their peers

On October 22, New Lebanon first grade students traveled to the historic Proctor’s Theater in Schenectady to watch the Empire State Youth Orchestra perform the Young People’s Concert. Early intervention helps eliminate ‘catch up’ later on

This year at Walter B. Howard Elementary School, additional academic support has been placed in grades K-2 in an effort to ensure that students are reading at or above grade level by Grade 3. Students learn about fire safety

On October 20, firefighters from the Lebanon Valley Protective Association visited Walter B. Howard Elementary to talk to students about fire safety. Firefighters focused on the importance of smoke detectors.
