BNL Swimming Sectional Recap 2/17

Congratulations BNL Swimmers who competed in sectionals on Friday (2/17)!

“Congratulations to our entire BNL swim team and our wonderful coaches,” said New Lebanon Superintendent of Schools, Andrew Kourt. “You made our school districts and community proud. Hard work does pay off!”

Lance Schroder dropped another second off his 200 Freestyle time (4 second drop overall) and placed 14th overall. He also dropped time in the 100 Freestyle and placed 9th in the 100 Freestyle.

Liam Buckenroth dropped 2 seconds in the 200 IM and placed 12th overall.

Allison Slater set a new school record in the 200 IM and dropped 2 seconds off her time from Friday to place 5th overall. She also dropped 5 seconds in her 100 Breaststroke and placed 10th.

Riley Schwartz moved up a spot and placed 15th in the Backstroke.

Alex Sotek had a great swim in the 100 Butterfly and placed 6th in the event. She reset her school record on Friday with a 58.73. She also reset her backstroke record by going sub-minute (59.86) and placing 6th overall.

Entering Sectionals, the relay team of Alex Sotek, Liam Buckenroth, Lance Schroder, and Allison Slater had a best time of 3:58.66, they would drop 12 seconds at sectionals and break the boys school record with a time of 3:46.73 and placed 7th at Sectionals.
