Technology Committee Minutes

3/8/06

Present: Matt Klafehn, Dottie Rogers, April Phelps, Ben Long, Scott Paterson, Anthony Vescio, Pat Ackley

The following topics were discussed:

1. Technology Plan and Presentation

a. the plan was approved by the Board of Education

b. a copy of the plan was distributed to every high school teacher

c. discussed the evaluation part of the plan which committee members will research

d. at the next meeting the committee members will report their findings

2. Technology Workshop (Feb.)

a. was a success

b. a suggestion was made to set up one or two days at the end of every school year to be reserved for technology education

c. evaluations from the workshop were collected

3. Ordering-

a. hardware and software requests have been prioritized and given to Mr. Gabriel

b. all purchase orders for approved hardware and software have been submitted

c. remember to order installation parts with the hardware requests

4. Ideas, goals and prioritizing for 2006-2007-

a. all software and hardware requests will now be distributed in June for submission in September.

b. all areas of the school will be included in these requests (e.g. bus garage, office staff)
