Capital Project Update

The Facilities Committee has been meeting with the architect and engineer from Mosaic Associates throughout the fall to to discuss logistics and monitor the timeline for the Capital Project that voters approved in May.

As you recall, voters approved an $11,855,000 renovation project that includes:

Updates to meet current code issues in both schools
Renovations to kitchens, bathrooms and high school locker rooms
Replacing flooring and repairing cracks in foundation walls at the high school
Creating a secure entrance through an addition to the elementary school
Expanding the gymnasium at the elementary school to a full-size gymnasium

  • State Ed Review (9-10 months to complete review)

Fall 2017/Winter 2018

  • Request Bids

Spring/Summer 2019 Construction Begins

  • The project should be approaching completion by the start of the 2019-20 school year
