Bowls available to purchase at Blueberry Hill Cafe during December
New Lebanon Jr/Sr High School Art Teacher Ms. Donna Brooks and her Art Club students have been busy making ceramic slab bowls for charity. The bowls will be on sale at Blueberry Hill Café on Route 20 in the town of New Lebanon during the month of December.
Each handmade bowl will sell for $12.00 and the profits go directly to the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York’s “Backpack Program.” The program provides meals for children to take home for the weekends.
Ms. Brooks said, “I wanted to use student creativity to directly help the kids in our town. The Backpack Program is so important to many of the children in our community, and hunger shouldn’t be a part of their lives.”
