WBH January Principal’s Update

WBH January Principal’s Update:

                                                                                                                                 January 27,2017         Dear Families,

I hope you and your family are having a fantastic January.  Our children at WBH have been extremely busy this month.  I am very proud of our students and our school community.  Our children have been working very hard to be Respectful, Responsible, and Safe citizens of our school.  It is remarkable to see our youngest students turn into readers and writers amongst our very own eyes.  Our oldest students are learning leadership skills that will help them find future success.  Our teachers and staff are the most dedicated, passionate, and hardworking individuals that I have ever worked with.  Our PTA is amazing.  They make sure that we have free community events in which all families can enjoy.  Here at WBH we ALL have a lot to be proud of.

I would like to welcome a new faculty member to our WBH family.  Ms. Woods is our new art teacher.  Ms. Woods has replaced art teacher Ms. McNaughton (previously Ms. Karlowich).  Ms. McNaughton has accepted a position closer to her home.  We are very lucky to have Ms. Woods as our new PK – 6 art teacher.  She comes to us from teaching art as a replacement teacher in the Ticonderoga School District.  Ms. Woods is a talented art teacher who is very eager to work with our children.  If you have any questions for Ms. Woods she can be reached at rwoods@newlebanoncsd.org.

Join me in welcoming new baby Hawkins to our WBH family.  Mr. Hawkins, our librarian, and his wife recently welcomed baby Nicholas.  Mr. Hawkins will be staying at home with his family for a couple days and will be back next week.  We have a consistent substitute who will be working in the library.

Just another reminder – our students will be going outside for recess if the temperature is above 20 degrees and it is not raining.  Even when there is snow on the ground and it is warm enough the students will be outside.  Please remember to have your child bring a warm coat, snow pants, boots, gloves, hats to school every day.  We appreciate your support with this!

Thank you for your continued support.  If you ever have any questions do not hesitate to contact me at the WBH office.  Please see the dates below for upcoming school activities and events.

Fondly,

Andrew Kourt
WBH Principal
