Pie in Your Face

Student smiles after throwing pie in Prinicpal Kourt's faceDuring the month of November, Principal Andrew Kourt challenged students to read for two weeks at home and log their minutes each night. The top readers from each class would be able to throw pies at Kourt’s face during the Readathon Assembly.

At the assembly on Tuesday, November 22 WBH elementary students learned they had met their goal reading nearly 40,000 minutes. Kourt donned googles and a white coverall suit as the top readers stepped up to take their shots.

Students participated in the read-a-thon in honor of American Education Week. Since November 7, students and parents logged their at-home reading minutes. Each class’s Goal was to Read 3,000 – 4,000 Minutes. Congratulations to all our readers and to our top readers for each grade! See more photos from assembly here.
