Career Day at WBH a Huge Success

“What do you want to be when you grow up?” This is a question that is often posed to students. Career Day at Walter B. Howard Elementary School was a huge success with more than twenty professionals sitting down with classes to describe their education background necessary to practice their respective profession and explain their daily duties.

Invited professionals included an opera singer, graphic designer, occupational therapist, structural engineer, geologist, lobbyist, animal behavior specialist, EMT and vet technician to name a few.

We would like to thank our teachers who coordinated the day and the following presenters: David Kurlander, Dr. Amanda Hansberger, Monica Bliss, Schulyer Gail, Julie Reicher, Carlo de Oliveira, Tistrya Houghtling, Melissa Stickles,  Liz Daly Fougere, Kristyn Kreutziger, Thomas Fortune, Phil Ward, Amy Haaf, Jenn Schroder, William Buckenroth, Tara Cruden, Gabby Lambert, Tim Schroder, Jessica Byrne York, Laura Aloisio, Elizabeth Brutsch,Greta White, Superintendent Leslie Whitcomb, David Little, Karen Cummings, April Land, John Kalisz and Deputy Kelly Briscoe
