WBH Elementary Students Pay it Forward with Acts of Kindness

During the month of December, WBH elementary classes will be paying it forward to other classes.  Last week, the pre-kindergarten classroom paid it forward to one of the fourth grade classrooms. They made a craft, sang a song, and handed out friendship seeds (skittles). The fourth grade class then paid it forward to a first grade class with a flash mob to “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer”. That first grade class has since paid it forward to sixth grade with cookies!

School psychologist Tylea Gebbie said the project is really fostering a sense of community both within classrooms and within the building. It is teaching kindness and giving kids an opportunity to pause for a moment and think about others this holiday season. Watch the video below of Mrs. Smith’s fourth grade class dancing to “”Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer”.
