Staff returns for Opening Day

This morning all New Lebanon CSD employees including teachers, administrators, bus drivers, buildings and grounds staff, and others attended Opening Day at the Jr/Sr. High School. The district welcomes back students in grades 1-12 on Thursday, September 4. Kindergarten begins Friday, September 5.

The staff was welcomed by Superintendent Leslie Whitcomb, who discussed the benefits of working in a small district like New Lebanon, and the exceptional state the district is currently in.

Staff participated in several required trainings including: Right to Know; Dignity for All Students Act; and Discriminatory Harassment. In addition to the general assembly, staff met with their building principals and supervisors, and teachers had an opportunity to prepare their classrooms.

Teachers and administrators will convene again tomorrow, September 3, to discuss NYSED  test results and data-driven instruction.
