Principal Kourt’s December Update

Dear Families,

I want to start by wishing you and your family a very happy holiday.  Please enjoy this time with family and friends and nurture every memory together.  We have a lot to be proud about here at WBH.  I want to take this time to highlight some of the many things we have been working on…

As a school community, we have created a collaborative school vision statement.  This is a phrase that we stand by as a school family and ensure all that we do follows our school vision…

“A Community That Fosters Hope, Resilience, Lifelong learning and gives all students the Opportunity to Succeed.”

I want to thank our PTA and our many volunteers for the wonderful holiday events this past month.  The Craft Fair at the High School was a huge success and raised funds for our PTA, our children had a great time at our holiday family craft night, and our students loved buying their loved ones holiday presents at “The Little Shop.”   None of these events could be possible without our wonderful PTA and our volunteers.  Please join us at our next PTA meeting on Tuesday, January 9th at 6 pm at the WBH library.

We try to get our students outside as much as possible for recess.  Our students will not go outside if the temperature is below 20 degrees or if it is raining.  I want to remind you to make sure your child has a heavy coat, gloves, hats, and boots.  We purchased some new sleds.  In order for our students to play in the snow they will have to also have snow pants.

Save The Dates:

  • January 2nd – Back to school
  • January 5th – Tiger Jam Assembly
  • January 9th – PTA Meeting
  • January 15th – No School Martin Luther King Jr. Day
  • January 19th – Movie Night at WBH – Sponsored by the PTA

Thank you for your continued support and I look forward to working with you in the New Year.  Happy Holidays!

Fondly,

Andrew Kourt
WBH Principal
