Principal dresses as a pirate after students surpass reading goal

Principal Kourt & students dressed as piratesDuring the month of November, WBH students in Pre-K to 6 read at home for the annual Readathon. If students read at least 60,000 minutes, Principal Andrew Kourt would dress like a pirate. At the readathon assembly on November 20, the students found out that they made their goal. Top readers in every class were given a costume at the assembly to wear for the day. During the day, Captain Kourt and his Maties did a pirate dance, received a pirate name and went on a treasure hunt. Students read a total of 60,326 minutes. See more photos here.
