Holly CarsonHolly Carson – High School Music Teacher

Education Background: I am originally from Corning, NY where I attended C-PP West High. I was a member of the marching and concert bands, as well as other musical groups! After high school, I attended Mansfield University in Northern PA for two years before transferring to Nazareth College of Rochester. I graduated from Nazareth this past December with my Music Education degree and initial NYS certification.

Previous Schools you have taught at: Previously, I substitute taught in various districts in the Rochester region. I also served three long term substitute positions: Brockport Elementary School 4th and 5th grade band, Brockport middle and high school orchestra, and Sodus Intermediate school 4th – 6th grade band and general music.

Family: This past June, I got married to another trombone player, and we have a six-month old puppy named Cassie (she is a yorkie-bichon-chihuahua mix)! I have two sisters, one older and one younger. They are two of my best friends! My parents are living at home in Corning, as well as my maternal grandparents.

Interests outside of School: Outside of school I like to go on walks with my husband and dog, make puzzles, and keep up with various tv shows. Currently I’m following America’s Got Talent, and my favorite to win is 13 year old Courtney Hadwin! I also really enjoy cooking and playing card or board games.
