Letter to NL Families: Deer Hunting Season

Dear Families:

It is deer hunting season in the valley.  Therefore, it is not unusual to hear the sound of gunshots in the distance as hunters are sighting-in their rifles and zeroing in on their intended targets.

Unfortunately, in the times that we live in, such sounds can also raise levels of alert.  The safety of students is always our first concern.  In the event that gunshots are heard at school, be assured that students who are outside will be brought into our buildings.  We then follow our established emergency protocols with the guidance of our School Resource Deputy and the State Troopers.

Should you ever have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Sincerely,
