Flu season is here!

No Flu signAs a school community, our students’ health and safety is a number one priority. We are asking for your help with reminding children to wash their hands frequently, cover their coughs and sneezes. Symptoms of the flu include:

  • Fever* or feeling feverish/chills
  • Cough
  • Sore throat
  • Runny or stuffy nose
  • Muscle or body aches
  • Headaches
  • Fatigue (tiredness)
  • Some people may have vomiting and diarrhea, though this is more common in children than adults.

If your child is sick:

  • Keep him/her home for at least 24 hours after the fever is gone without the use of Tylenol or Motrin, or any other medications that brings fevers down.  If your child has a fever they can most likely spread the illness to their classmates.
  • If your child is vomiting, he or she must remain home until the vomiting has ceased for 24 hours.
