Students to learn more about Careers in Carpentry or Heavy Equipment

Dear Parents/Guardians:

A brand-new experience has been planned for students interested in learning more about apprenticeship and training programs with the Operating Engineers Local 158 in Glenmont and the Carpenters Local 291 in Albany. This is an opportunity for students who are interested in pursuing careers in either carpentry or heavy equipment operation and mechanics. The trip is also designed for students who remain undecided in their plans, but could benefit from exposure to outstanding employment possibilities and learning experiences.

Attached please find a copy of the permission slip for this trip, which will take place during the school day on April 15th. Participation is limited to the first 30 students who have submitted a signed consent form to the Main Office.

I am looking forward to joining our students on this excursion, as there is great career building potential in these trades! Should you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Sincerely,

Matthew R. Klafehn, Principal Jr/Sr High School
