*Residents, students, employees and business representatives of the New Lebanon Central School District may address the Board on matters concerning programs and/or operations of the district, other than matters involving personnel. Members of the Board do not directly respond to citizen concerns during Public Comment. While the Board does not wish to infringe upon free speech protections, it must be stressed that Public Comment is not deemed to be an open forum. In addition, any remarks which may be considered defamatory or stigmatizing are prohibited and will be declared out of order.

3. CURRICULUM AND INSTRUCTION

Action Item

a. To approve a field trip to Washington D.C. on February 19-February 23, 2011 for a Future Cities competition and to approve Mary Beth Liles as a chaperone.

4. SUPERINTENDENT

Action Items

a. To change the date of the February 16, 2011 Board of Education meeting to February 23, 2011.

b. To approve Karen McGraw, Monique Wood and Ben Long’s attendance at a conference in Colorado entitled, Advancing Student Achievement through Labor – Management Collaborating, February 15 to February 16, 2011. This is at the invitation of United States Department of Education and the department is covering the primary costs.
